Since the start of the Ukraine War, retired military officers from the West—who have never won a war—became armchair experts about how to tackle the Russian Army and achieve Washington’s ultimate objective: kick Russia out of the strategic Crimean Peninsula, and force a collapse of the Russian state to split up into additional satellite countries.

Estonia’s Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said in an interview last week that there is growing concern that peace could break out in Ukraine if the West starts pushing Kyiv to appease Russia after its illegal invasion. 

The White House knew that the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion into Ukraine last month was an important opportunity to try and keep the public interested and supportive of the effort.
