Survivalists put their trust in themselves. The business of survival will increasingly focus on creating products and services that give a wider range of customers not only a gateway to living independently, but to enjoy quality lives as well.
OnTrendpreneurs should consider niches where money can be made. Self-help instructional DVDs, apps, interactive programs, books, etc., covering topics from urban farming to alternative energy, will grow. So will medical kits and apps that enable self-diagnosis and treatment; communal living; clothing and other products made from hemp and other natural materials; customizable survival gear for different age groups and locales, etc.; and a host of food and water-safety products.
