J6 CAN’T BE SEPARATED FROM GOVERNMENT VIOLATIONS OF CITIZEN POLITICAL RIGHTS

As that fourth batch of the “Twitter Files” was released a few days ago, it’s more evident than ever that the Federal government ran roughshod over crucial Constitutionally protected political rights of Americans in 2020.

Americans had a right to hear from their President and candidate for re-election, Donald Trump. They had a right to voice their own political opinions, and to hear from others.

They had rights to express themselves regarding COVID policies, and events like the violent BLM riots of that spring and summer.

But instead of allowing and ensuring political free speech and other Constitutional protections, government agencies and authorities—often working against the President and the People—suppressed and destroyed free speech, and rendered the 2020 election illegitimate.

The Hunter Biden laptop was perhaps the most serious instance. It involved active FBI and intelligence disinformation designed to suppress and block the story from reaching American voters.

It also involved a marquee list of 51 former intelligence leaders, who all signed an influential letter attesting that the Hunter Biden laptop had “all the earmarks” of a Russian disinformation operation.

But the disinformation operation was from U.S. intelligence. It can’t be overstated how corrosive that operation was on the whole American body politic. This 9 December tweet from Matt Taibbi, tasked by Musk along with Bari Weiss, with unmasking the details of the Twitter files, is just one example of the sickening government censorship. It references the FBI, DHS and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), all of whom were part of the censorship activities:

Yoel Roth, former Twitter Head of Trust and Safety, now admits it was wrong to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story. 

Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey also said in March of 2021 that blocking The New York Post’s journalism on the story was a “total mistake.”

All too little, too late. The election was perverted. The damage is done.

“The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections,” Elon Musk said, concerning Roth and Twitter’s activities surrounding the 2020 election. “Twitter 2.0 will be far more effective, transparent and even-handed.”

J6 Wasn’t The Insurrection, It Was The Reaction

Of course, as much as the concrete facts surrounding the U.S. government’s corrupt activities with Twitter deserve the headlines, other aspects of 2020 corruption shouldn’t be forgotten.

There was the wholesale, near 500 million dollar election interference operation fueled by Mark Zuckerberg’s “zuckerbucks.” 

Election laws in multiple states were changed to loosen restrictions on mail-in balloting, and make other changes designed to favor Democrats.

A system where a mega billionaire can exercise such power to change the course of election, not even by contributing to candidates or to support political positions, but to change the laws surrounding voting, can only be termed, to put it politely, rancid.

Zuckerberg, along with a handful of fellow elites like George Soros, Michael Bloomberg and Jeff Bezos, all showered money on influence operations.

Many of those operations were designed not to promote a robust political debate prior to an election, but to subvert, suppress, delegitimize and destroy political opposition. 

And after the highly irregular election, when Americans organized to go to Washington DC and protest, which was their Constitution protected right, what did Federal government agencies do?

They worked their infiltration of various groups, to try to ensure that there would be violence and extremism that they could then pin on the entire protest, to smear it as illegitimate and dangerous.

Since J6, the U.S. has further destroyed its credibility as a functioning free and democratic Republic, by subjecting relatively petty Capitol transgressors to political imprisonments, and cruel and unusual punishments.

Medical treatments have been withheld from prisoners. They have been beaten, held for years without trial, and some have been sentenced to punishing extended sentences for petty crimes.

America can say nothing to China, Iran, or anyone else concerning persecuting and jailing political opposition. We have made ourselves no different. 

Via the J6 committee, we even have our own version of show trials.

And meanwhile, government perpetrators involved in the Russian collusion hoax, the suppression of American political speech and other rights, the J6 incitement operations, and illegal spying on Americans, continue to escape their much more egregious crimes and abuses of power.

Finally calling the insurrection of Federal government agencies, operatives and representatives to account, should be the outcome of the “Twitter Files,” along with the revelations of the Missouri vs. Biden case.

But despite a pledge from projected House Leader Kevin McCarthy to call those 51 Intelligence officials who signed the Hunter Biden laptop to testify about their action, don’t count on Congressional Republicans to make any serious and sustained efforts to reign in the abuses of what Donald Trump so aptly called “The Swamp.”
