While much of the world’s attention was on Israel’s war against Iran, which the U.S. officially joined on Saturday, the IDF continued its massacre campaign across Gaza with a special focus on shooting starving Palestinians at humanitarian aid distribution centers.
Rafael Grossi, the head of the UN’s atomic agency, said in a statement that nuclear facilities “must never be attacked” in response to the IDF’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities that has put the Middle East on the brink of a wide regional war.
Over 100 Palestinians have been killed at Israeli- and U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) sites in southern Gaza since 27 May, and hundreds have been injured, after warnings from the UN and NGOs that the project was doomed to fail from the start.
Israel has killed at least 54,510 Palestinians and wounded 124,901 since the genocide started in October 2023. There are at least 11,000 people missing.
Moshe Ya’alon, the former Israeli defense minister who accused the IDF of ethnic cleansing in Gaza, said last week that the plans in motion to expel the 2.1 million Palestinians living in Gaza is a “war crime.”
Nothing is off limits in Gaza and the IDF on Wednesday attacked a UN clinic in Jabalia, a refugee camp in the northern reaches of the enclave, killing at least 22—including nine children who had been huddled inside the building amid the latest onslaught.
Israel Katz, the head of the IDF, said last week that Tel Aviv will begin evicting Gazans and annex parts of the enclave if Hamas continues to hold the remaining hostages—stating that the longer the group continues to keep the hostages, the “more territory, it will lose and be annexed to Israel.”
The IDF carried out “genocidal acts” by intentionally targeting women’s healthcare facilities across Gaza and by using rape and other forms of sexual violence to “dominate, oppress and destroy the Palestinian people in whole or in part,” according to a newly released UN report.
Israel Katz, the Israeli defense minister who landed the role because he is a puppet for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said Wednesday that his forces are “prepared to stay in Syria for an unlimited amount of time”—because of security concerns.
Israel continued last week to assert itself militarily in the southern region of Syria amid the security vacuum left behind after the fall of Bashar al-Assad and the chaos that has resulted in Damascus and across the northern part of the country—seeing an opportunity to extend its borders and influence in the region.
