The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), which is a panel that provides information about hunger to the UN and other international bodies, reported last week that Gaza City and the surrounding areas were in the throes of famine, caused directly by Israel’s humanitarian blockade, the destruction of hospitals, and the forced displacement of the population.
Israel has killed at least 61,020 Palestinians and wounded 150,671 others since the start of the Gaza genocide.
Israel’s revenge campaign in Gaza has gotten so atrocious that even Tel Aviv’s most loyal allies are beginning to speak out about the need to end the war and rush humanitarian aid into the enclave.
An unnamed former guard for the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) said in an interview on Israel’s Channel 12 that he could no longer work for the foundation because of the abuses that he witnessed at aid sites where Israeli forces have killed more than 1,000 Palestinians since the end of May.

The U.S. vetoed a draft resolution in the UN Security Council last week that demanded a permanent ceasefire in Gaza that called the conditions inside the enclave “catastrophic,” requiring all humanitarian restrictions to be lifted.
The death toll in Gaza’s 598-day genocide reached at least 54,056 along with 123,129 injured. There are at least 11,000 people considered missing.
The Israeli military killed at least 52,615 Gazans and at least 118,752 have been injured since the start of the genocide after the Hamas attack on 7 October 2023. Health officials in Gaza say 11,000 people are missing.
Israel Katz, the head of the IDF, said last week that Tel Aviv will begin evicting Gazans and annex parts of the enclave if Hamas continues to hold the remaining hostages—stating that the longer the group continues to keep the hostages, the “more territory, it will lose and be annexed to Israel.”
The U.S. announced sanctions against members of Sudan’s paramilitary force and accused the notorious group of committing genocide inside the country—all while supporting Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.
