In Indonesia, President Joko Widodo sparked backlash demonstrations by outlawing extramarital sex, as well as insults to himself and his VP, while reducing access to abortion. Protesters also demand that Widodo stop blocking anti-corruption legislation. In Papua, at least 33 were killed by security forces in a clash between indigenous Papuans and Indonesian security forces. In response, Widodo ordered an internet blackout.
