It wasn’t just faulty analysis, or even a desire to protect their own pro-genetic experimentation scientific orientations.
It was also bribery.
That’s the newest contention surrounding the now long, sordid tale of how the U.S. government tried to cover up the likelihood that the COVID virus originated at a Wuhan China biolab that the U.S. funded.
The Trends Journal has reported on this story to our readers going back to at least February of 2021, though the mainstream media labeled any idea that COVID might have originated from man-made, mad-science lab experiments as a verboten “conspiracy theory.”
The latest news involves a CIA whistleblower who testified this past week to Congress.
According to the whistleblower, as reported by The Daily Mail and others, the agency bribed analysts to come to the conclusion that COVID did not originate from the Wuhan lab, but instead had a natural “zoonotic” (transfer from animal to human) explanation. (“CIA whistleblower claims agency ‘BRIBED’ their own analysts to say COVID did NOT come from Wuhan: Bombshell Republican report exposes alleged virus origins cover-up,” 12 Sep 2023.)
The senior-level CIA whistleblower explained that the agency assigned seven officers to a “COVID Discovery Team.”
Six of the seven members found that available intelligence supported a lab origin for COVID.
But the story changed, and the final report issued a tepid non-conclusive assessment.
And money made the change happen, via the CIA bribing the analysts to revise their assessments, according to the whistleblower.
In response to the explosive Congressional testimony, the CIA issued a statement which said in part:
“At CIA we are committed to the highest standards of analytic rigor, integrity, and objectivity. We do not pay analysts to reach specific conclusions. We take these allegations extremely seriously and are looking into them. We will keep our Congressional oversight committees appropriately informed…”
In a letter to CIA Director William Burns on Tuesday, Ohio-based Republican congressmen Mike Turner and Brad Wenstrup, the chairs of the intelligence and covid committees, respectively, demanded all relevant papers.
The CIA was given until September 26 to provide all records pertaining to the COVID Discovery Team and any correspondence with the FBI, State Department, Health and Human Services, and Energy Department about the topic.
Fauci Positioned Himself to Shape the COVID Narrative, As Well As the Lucrative Big Pharma Response
Over the past year, two Government agencies, including the Department of Energy and the FBI have announced assessments that conclude (with varying degrees of confidence) that COVID likely originated from the Wuhan lab.
That lab received U.S. funding under direct authority of Dr. Anthony Fauci, then head of the NIAID (National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases) to conduct dangerous “gain of function” virus experiments.
Among other evidence of the connection, a specific gain-of-function study done at the lab referenced the U.S. funding.
Fauci just happened to position himself early on in the COVID saga as an expert who could take the reins as a COVID policy czar, which he did with the help of VP Mike Pence, who was tasked by then President Donald Trump with overseeing his administration’s COVID response.
Fauci suppressed and interfered with COVID investigations, it is now known, and also illegally subverted Constitutional rights of Americans by working with social media companies to censor speech.
Fauci was forced to testify on those matters via deposition in the Missouri vs Biden court case, as reported by The Trends Journal. (See “FAUCI IN DEPOSITION: ‘I DON’T REALLY RECALL’ APPROVING EXCEPTION THAT ALLOWED ECOHEALTH ALLIANCE TO CONDUCT DANGEROUS VIRUS EXPERIMENTS” 06 Dec 2022.)
Fauci lied in Congressional testimony concerning gain-of-function virus experiments taking place at Wuhan, in several heated exchanges with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY).
Senator Paul deserves huge credit for helping expose the U.S. Wuhan connection and cover-up at a time when most of the MSM were studiously ignoring the story, or painting Paul as a loon.
But even all that doesn’t capture the extent of Fauci’s COVID-era duplicity.
The NIAID director consistently advocated extreme COVID policies that had little to no basis in objective science, including masking and shutdowns.
He undercut what many frontline doctors were finding regarding the efficacy of cheap safe drugs like Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine when used in protocols along with zinc and antibiotics for fighting COVID.
He took an unprecedented step of encouraging the barring of “off label” use of those drugs by doctors.
Meanwhile, he pushed for the use of the prescription drug Remdesivir to fight COVID, a drug to which he had financial connections, and a drug which many say harmed, and didn’t help patients who received it.
Remdesivir was eventually suspended as a recommended COVID treatment.
And when controversial gene-level COVID treatments developed by pharmaceuticals Moderna and Pfizer became available, Fauci supported their extensive rollout, even to demographic groups including young people, that had close to zero risk of serious outcomes from contracting COVID.
He, along with many other government and medical authorities and officials, up to and including Joe Biden, told the public that the so-called COVID “vaccines” (which in fact are a very different technology than traditional vaccines) had the power to stop COVID transmission.
That not only turned out to be false, but high-level officials knew the truth even as they sold the lie.
That lie was potent as a rationale to pressure and even mandate vaccinations on wide portions of the American public, including health workers, public employees, members of the military, etc.
State college systems in New York and elsewhere mandated the vax for students, in order to attend classes in person.
