Welcome to week 49 of job losses. Higher interest rates and rising inflation, plus the cheap money flow that governments pumped into economies to artificially drive up equity markets and economies are causing companies in many sectors to lay off employees.
With the Federal Reserve raising interest rates another 25 basis points last week, there will be more of an economic slowdown and rising number of job layoffs. There will most likely be a bit of a job increase in the service sectors during the summer in the Northern Hemisphere, but jobs will cool down and layoffs will rise again in Autumn.
