U.S. SAYS IT KILLED NEARLY 700 SUSPECTED ISIS MEMBERS IN IRAQ, SYRIA IN 2022

If Moscow or Beijing killed 700 “suspects” in foreign nations, it would be Western media “news” condemning the atrocities they committed.

But with Washington—the Global War Machine since the end of WWII—its atrocities committed in foreign lands are applauded as the American Way.

The U.S. announced last week that its forces killed 686 suspected ISIS members in Syria and Iraq in 2022, but failed to provide any information on how many civilians were killed in these operations.

TRENDPOST: Yes, “suspects,” not murderers or assailants. And or, probably innocent civilians like the 10-plus civilian Americans killed in August 2021 as they retreated from the Afghanistan War debacle.

And remember—but long forgotten—the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chief of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley said the strike was “righteous” and all the Americans slaughtered were ISIS facilitators.

CENTCOM said no U.S. troops were killed or wounded during these operations.

The biggest clash took place in January, when ISIS fighters tried to free detainees inside a prison in Al-Hasakah, Syria. The U.S. supplied air support for the Syrian Democratic Forces to stop the attack. It took 10 days to stomp out the resistance.

CENTCOM said 120 allies from the Syrian Democratic Forces died in the clash, along with 420 suspected ISIS fighters.

U.S. Central Command issued a press release that said a total of 31 operations were conducted last year in Iraq and Syria. Gen. Michael ‘Erik’ Kurilla, the commander of U.S. Central Command, said another 374 suspects have been detained.

There are about 20,000 believed ISIS leaders in detention in Iraq and 10,000 in Syria.

TRENDPOST: The Trends Journal has reported extensively on how the U.S. keeps strike teams in Syria to carry out missions against individuals identified by Washington as terrorists. (See “ILLEGALLY IN SYRIA, U.S. CONDEMNS ROCKET ATTACK ON ITS SYRIAN BASE,” “ILLEGALLY IN SYRIA, U.S. FORCES KILL ‘IRAN-BACKED’ FIGHTERS” and “U.S. SOLDIERS INJURED AFTER BASE SHELLED IN SYRIA, WHY ARE THESE TROOPS STILL THERE?” 12 Apr 2022.)

U.S. troops have been in Syria since 2015 with the mandate to assist local forces in the fight against ISIS. There are about 900 troops still in the country.

PUBLISHER’S NOTE: As Gerald Celente has been stating since America’s illegal invasion of Iraq, based on lies that Saddam Hussain had weapons of mass destruction, “Do you think America would invade if Iraq’s major export was broccoli?” The same with Syria and Libya… it’s all about oil and U.S. domination.

The United States has no right to be in Syria, a foreign nation that is no threat and has made no threats to America.

It also should be noted the initial reason given for U.S. military presence in Syria was not fighting ISIS, but rather President Barack Obama, The Nobel Peace Prize winner, demanded that its president, Bashar al-Assad, had to go.

Yet, the American media and the public join against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, while they champion Washington’s foreign entanglements.

Another Diplomatic Loss for U.S.

The Biden administration expressed dismay after a top UAE diplomat visited Syria’s Bashar al-Assad last week in an effort to normalize relations with the strongman. Turkey, Russia, and the UAE have all signaled that they intend to normalize diplomatic relations with Damascus.

“Our position on normalization with the Assad regime remains unchanged. We do not support it,” a National Security Council official told Al Arabiya English.
