The Presstitutes at ABC News edited out portions of an interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that included his statements about the COVID-19 vaccine that the network identified as “false claims” about the drugs.
Linsey Davis, the anchor, told viewers after the interview that the Democrat presidential hopeful made these false claims that forced the network to use its “editorial judgment” to not include “extended portions of that exchange in our interview.”
Kennedy, a lawyer, tweeted that the law 47 USC 315 protects candidates for public office from TV censorship, but accused ABC of betraying its “contempt for the law, democracy, and its audience by cutting most of the content of my interview with host Linsey Davis leaving only cherry-picked snippets and a defamatory disclaimer.”
He said ABC News offered no evidence that his claims were false.
“In truth, [Lindsey] Davis engaged me in a lively, informative, and mutually respectful debate on the government’s Covid countermeasures. I’m happy to supply citations to support every statement I made during that exchange. I’m certain that ABC’s decision to censor came as a shock to Linsey as well. Instead of journalism, the public saw a hatchet job.”
He continued: “Instead of information, they got defamation and unsheathed Pharma propaganda. Americans deserve to hear the full interview so they can make up their own minds. How can democracy function without a free and unbiased press? As President, I will free [the] FCC from its corporate captors and force the agency to follow the law by revoking the licenses of networks that put the mercantile ambitions of advertisers ahead of the public interest.”
Jonathan Turley, the legal scholar, wrote on his blog that the law does not mean a candidate can say whatever he wants during interviews without the possibility of being edited, but he noted that “ABC is affirmatively stating that it censored his remarks because it disagreed with them.”
He continued, “We do not have to be protected from dangerous thoughts by the media. A far greater danger lurks in the indoctrination and orthodoxy that comes from censorship.”
The ABC News report went to great lengths, even without the disclaimer, to stress that Kennedy was one of the “biggest voices pushing anti-vaccine rhetoric regularly distributing misinformation and disinformation about vaccines, which scientific and medical experts overwhelmingly say are safe and effective based on rigorous scientific studies.”
ABC’s segment touched very little on vaccines and focused on his political family.
TRENDPOST: Gerald Celente has forecast that Robert F. Kennedy will be the next president of the U.S., without some unseen outside factor. Among them, President Joe Biden’s refusal to debate him and/or Biden taking America to war, since as Celente says, “When all else fails, they take you to war.”
In the race for the White House, RFK Jr. will be denounced and generally dismissed by the corporate media as anything other than a dangerous vaccine skeptic.
Take Vice News for example.
The news outlet published an article in disbelief that ABC News would even have Kennedy on as a guest after his previous comments on the vaccines. The article said the network compounded the mistake about how it edited his comments out of the broadcast.
“By positioning what Kennedy had to say as too dangerous for its audience, ABC managed both to leave viewers uninformed about what he actually has to say and to make it seem alluring. If he had paid the network, it couldn’t have done more to serve his interests,” the article stated.
