CHINA’S CEASEFIRE PITCH IN UKRAINE DENOUNCED BY THE WEST AS PRO-RUSSIAN SABOTAGE

China announced a peace plan to end the Ukraine conflict based on an immediate ceasefire, which was outright rejected by Western countries as fraudulent and nothing more than an effort to buy Russia time to reload and reinvade.

“We will look at the principles, of course,” Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, said, according to the Financial Times. “But we will look at them against the backdrop that China has taken sides. It is not a peace plan.”

The proposal said the security of the region should not be achieved by “strengthening or expanding military blocs,” and warned against taking a “Cold War mentality.”

Jens Stoltenberg, the head of NATO who has been promoting war for months, was also irked by China’s mere mention of peace. He said China has no credibility because it has not condemned the “illegal invasion.”

President Joe Biden told ABC News in an interview that the “idea that China is going to be negotiating the outcome of a war that’s a totally unjust war for Ukraine is just not rational.”

French President Emmanuel Macron, who has been criticized for keeping open lines of communication with Putin, seemed to take a more sensible approach to China’s peace deal and said, “The fact that China is engaged in peace efforts is a good thing.” But he repeated Washington’s claim that peace can only be achieved if “Russian aggression was halted, troops withdrawn, and the territorial sovereignty of Ukraine and its people was respected.”

Macron reportedly told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on a phone call that he has been a “great war leader” but eventually he will need to be a political statesman and make difficult decisions.

TRENDPOST: Von der Leyen’s claim that China took a side in the war is a lie. Beijing has—in every way—conducted itself like the neutral party that it is. China has not tried to interfere with sanctions and there is no proof that it is providing any military support for Russia. It is the EU, however, that has taken a side: Washington’s.

Annalena Baerbock, Germany’s outspoken foreign minister, let it slip last month when she admitted that Europe is at war with Russia. (See “Germany’s Chief War Hawk Confirms Celente’s Forecast: Europe is at War With Russia” 31 Jan 2023.)

Baerbock’s bellicose comments about Russia since the start of the invasion prompted politicians to take note. Markus Soeder, the Bavarian prime minister, urged German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to stop Baerbock from continuing to make anti-Russian comments that are becoming a security risk for Germany.

“Mr. Scholz, finally stop Ms. Baerbock,” Soeder, a prominent figure in the German opposition, said, according to RT. He said her “thoughtless statements” are often “to the detriment of our country.”

Western countries are trying to show a united front in support of the war with the hopes that Russia would be willing to negotiate at the end of the year. The WSJ reported that there are “growing doubts” over Ukraine’s ability to recapture its territory.

“We keep repeating that Russia mustn’t win, but what does that mean? If the war goes on for long enough with this intensity, Ukraine’s losses will become unbearable, and no one believes they will be able to retrieve Crimea,” one French official told the paper.

Western media outlets also rejected the proposal.

Brian Kilmeade, at Fox News, said, “How could you have peace when an aggressor nation has already taken and killed and tried to wipe you out? So this is why China should not be praised. This is…any clear-thinking person knows this is not a real list.”

This is the same guy that has supported every American war since he’s become a Presstitute.

Applauding former President Trump’s assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, in a discussion he had on the air with Geraldo Rivera in January 2020, Kilmeade said the U.S. action was justified, and that Rivera was “making excuses for Iran.”

“Your arrogance was exactly what is wrong with the region,“ Rivera said, and “Don’t for a minute cheer this on.”

“I will cheer it on,” Kilmeade said.

Rivera shot back, saying, you “… have never met a war you didn’t like,”

TRENDPOST: Again, totally ignoring Washington’s murderous Iraq, Afghan, Libyan, Yugoslav, Syria, Yemen wars etc., all they do is condemn Russia without providing a scintilla of evidence as to why Russia invaded Ukraine. (See “Washington is Driving the World to the Final War,” Spring 2014.)
