AI GIRLFRIENDS GET PERSONAL, AND MORE EXPERTS PREDICT AI ARMAGEDDON: THE LATEST IN “AI, WE OWN YOU”

Age of Internet Influencer just met Age of AI, and they’re hitting it off quite nicely.

How well is the relationship going? 70 thousand dollars in one week.

23-year-old Snapchat sensation Caryn Marjorie has launched an “AI girlfriend” version of herself, available to her 1.8 million followers—and anyone else who cares to shell out.

The “CarynAI girlfriend” is built on OpenAI’s GPT-4 API.

Her website says about the digital twinning:

“We’ve dedicated over 2,000 hours to meticulously design and code CarynAI’s language and personality into an immersive AI experience. Using her unique voice, captivating persona and distinctive behavior, CarynAI brings you a dynamic one-of-a-kind interaction that feels like you’re talking directly to Caryn herself,” the site says. “Available anytime, anywhere, Caryn has been flawlessly cloned into an AI for your convenience and enjoyment.”

Citing Pew Research, The Daily Wire noted that 63 percent of men in their 20’s nationwide are single. (“Influencer Creates ‘AI Girlfriend’ Version Of Herself, Hauls In More Than $70,000 In Single Week,” 15 May 2023.)

Some believe access to porn is one reason, though others point to much wider and deeper relationship landmines in an increasingly politically correct world, where slights and perceived microaggressions can lead to shaming, canceling, and even criminal charges—all skewed against men.

Virtual relationships and fantasy sex, though no replacement for real human connection, is increasingly the tech wonderbox that men are choosing, because in one way or another, it’s less costly.

Tech companies and elites bent on a Degrowth and social control agenda, while squeezing money from it all, will have no problem continuing to develop technology that caters to the new normal.

The Trends Journal has been forecasting to our readers concerning AI girlfriends, digital twinning and a lost tech generation of youth in numerous articles.

AI Catastrophes Are Inevitable, Experts Are Warning

Our friends at InfoWars picked up on a story this week concerning a new warning by medical experts about existential dangers to humans posed by AI.

A handful of experts in global health policy from four continents joined in recommending a suspension of further AI development.

They cited several crucial threats to humans, centered around surveillance and government control, weaponization and automation, and obsoleting masses of humanity via job losses.

They wrote:

“There are scenarios where AGI could present a threat to humans, and possibly an existential threat, by intentionally or unintentionally causing harm directly or indirectly, by attacking or subjugating humans or by disrupting the systems or using up resources we depend on.”

The experts, who were led by a physician with the International Institute for Global Health at United Nations University, according to The Daily Mail, were most concerned about the emergence of so-called AGI, or Artificial General Intelligence. (“’AI is an existential threat to humanity’: Now doctors and public health experts across four continents issue fresh call for artificial intelligence to be halted – warning it could be used to make weapons of mass destruction,” 9 May 2023.)

Also referred to as “strong AI,” such an intelligence could learn and act on its own initiative, be self-aware, have wide general knowledge and abilities that surpass human intelligence in every respect.

The Trends Journal, in the pages of Trends in Technocracy, called for a suspension of AI development long before major players in the industry began to have doubts about what they’ve been building. (See, for example, “AUTOMATING OUT OF WORLD CRISIS?” 12 Jul 2022.)

We have previously warned and made forecasts with respect to all the major concerns experts are now voicing—and more.
