TOP TREND: MID-YEAR UPDATE
2016 FORECAST: Bye, bye, Miss American Pie. It’s a Barnum and Bailey World. It’s the Greatest Show on Earth: The 2016 race for the White House.
It’s a red, white and blue living-color freak show.
It’s produced and directed exclusively by the masters of propaganda: just six corporations that own and operate 90 percent of the “media” — and exclusively host the presidential debates. Yes, six corporations control the “news” flow, heavily feature political candidates they favor, and eliminate all but the chosen few members of the Republican and Democrat Gang: The political Bloods and Crips.
Both mass murderers, the two political gangs’ hands are drenched in blood from the millions they’ve killed in the name of stopping communism, bringing freedom and democracy to foreign lands and destroying entire nations, supposedly for national security and humanitarian missions.
Republican and Democrats: They’re thieves who rob We the People and give our money to the too-big-to-jail, too-big-to-fail banksters; award special tax breaks to their benefactors; and give party donors generous loan guarantees and governmental approval for any toxic product, financial or chemical — regardless of how many lives are destroyed or people killed.
Turn on and tune in to the 10 November 2015 Republican presidential debate. Listen to Fox’s game-show host tell the henhouse chickens the rules: “Tonight’s rules are simple. Up to 90 seconds for each answer. One minute for each follow-up response. And if a candidate goes over their allotted time, you will hear this (bell rings).”
“It sounds like a game show, but it’s not,” chimed in another host.
No, it sounds like a game show because that’s precisely what it is: Beat the Clock. And yes, “the rules are simple”… simply stupid for any simpleton to obey and a reflection of how low the nation has sunk.
Issues of life and death, geopolitical turmoil, social unrest, the economic future of the nation, foreign policy, the never-ending War on Terror… all debased to conform to imbecilic, low-life, game-show rules of corporate masters who rake in over $250,000 from advertisers for 30-second commercials on The Presidential Reality Show™.
TREND UPDATE
This past May, President Obama, taking a shot at business mogul and reality-show champion Donald Trump, the Republican contestant in the race for the White House, said, “This is not entertainment. This is not a reality show.”
Then again in July, on the campaign trail with Democrat Hillary Clinton in Charlotte, North Carolina, Obama again declared, “This is not a reality show; this is reality.”
Not a reality show? Not entertainment?
As the main attraction at the North Carolina event, Obama, who in nearly eight years in office barely strayed from his teleprompter lines, hit center stage and put on an intellectually ignorant, patently disingenuous, scripted reality-show performance:
“Hillary! Hillary! Hillary! (Applause.) Hillary! Hillary! Hillary! Oh! (Applause.) How are you doing, Charlotte? (Applause.) Are you fired up? (Applause.) Are you ready to go? (Applause.) Fired up!
“Now, first of all, let me just say I like any excuse to come to North Carolina. (Applause.) I just like North Carolina. (Applause.) I love the people in North Carolina. (Applause.) When we used to campaign here, I used to say even the people who aren’t voting for me are nice. (Applause.) You know, that’s not true everywhere. (Laughter.) So you got great people here. And then you got great food. (Applause.) North Carolina has got some food. In fact, I will find someplace to stop and get some food before I head back to D.C. (Applause.) I know you all have recommendations. (Laughter.) I know I can’t go to your house to get the food. (Laughter.) Although I’m sure you’re an excellent cook.
“And then you’ve got great basketball. (Applause.) You’ve got great basketball. We all know that. We all know that. But I’m not going to get in between all the Tar Heel and Wolfpack — (applause) — you know. Yeah, Blue Devils. See — Deacons. I’m not going to get into all that. You just have great basketball in North Carolina. So I love an excuse to come to North Carolina. (Applause.)”
Not entertainment?
Obama, who entertained graduating students at Howard University this past May telling them that “Now, Shonda Rhimes owns Thursday night, and Beyoncé runs the world,” was now back on the campaign trail vomiting out one nauseating line after another to the applauding trained seals in Charlotte.
Yes, of course, the man who vacations with his family in Martha’s Vineyard in the summer and Hawaii in the winter blows out bullshit about making “any excuse to come to North Carolina.” And, how he loves the “great people”, “great food,” and of course “you’ve got great basketball. You’ve got great basketball … you just have great basketball in North Carolina.”
“Great,” “great,” “great,” “great,” “great”… it’s “The Greatest Show on Earth,” a three-ring American circus. And, with each passing decade, the presidential bar has been lowered to such sub-human levels that dignity, respect, courage, passion for peace, personal grace, natural beauty, the general welfare and paths to prosperity have been destroyed and replaced with scripted performance and bad acts by a cast of sociopaths, psychopaths, narcissists, cowards, liars, freaks and fools.
“Not entertainment”?
Barack Obama, virtually unknown a decade ago, rocketed to stardom after America’s Queen of TV, Oprah Winfrey, threw her support behind him in his 2008 race for the White House. Transformed into a flawlessly packaged and directed Harpo production, the teleprompted orator promised to “heal the nation and repair the world.” Obama’s true legacy is serving as the first US president to keep the nation at war throughout two full terms in office.
On the home front, he vowed to lift Americans from poverty and improve middle-class living standards. However, in Obama’s first foray into the arena of “Hope and change you can believe in,” as a grass-roots community organizer in Chicago’s poverty- stricken South Side, Obama organized nothing and conceded defeat. He admitted that, “On issues we made
very little progress, nothing that would change poverty on the South Side of Chicago.”
As president, Obama carried his Chicago failures to the White House. Rather than improving average American living standards, under his regime, America’s 400 richest doubled their fortunes from $1.27 trillion in 2009 to $2.34 trillion in 2015, while average income of the bottom 99 percent grew 0.7 percent.
Indeed, politics, whether in the United States or a country near you, has degraded to a reality show…show business for ugly people. And greater numbers of the public know it. TJ
